"The Logical Way to be Informed"

Dyslexia Assessments For Adults
This assessment comprises an interview and a number of tests lasting 3 hours and is followed by a detailed confidential report of approximately 10-15 pages.  A questionnaire is also completed, ideally prior to the meeting. The assessment will provide an Intelligence Quotient (I.Q.) measure, as well as diagnostic information relating to the nature of the client's strengths, weaknesses and any specific difficulties. The report covers recommendations for the management of identified problems and some reading or other resources which may prove helpful. In cases where the client is proposing to undertake an academic or vocational training programme in the near future, the report may offer evidence to examination boards or training bodies of any need for formal allowances, where appropriate. Once the assessment report has been received, a follow-up discussion by telephone is available as part of the service.

Please note that the assessment does not include specific and detailed careers advice, speech and language diagnosis or testing of eyesight and hearing.  If necessary, these would involve consultation with other professionals and should be sought by the client independently.

Although normally undertaken at the testing centre, all assessments can be carried out in the client's own home.  A charge for travelling expenses will be made.

Further meetings and interviews for the purposes of professional advice are available upon request.
