Behavioural Management
This service is available for schools and parents to meet specific child management problems. Consultation can be made for those aged from 18months to 16plus years where behaviour is of concern. Since the service is individually tailored according to need, a fixed costing cannot be given. However, a typical programme would include parent support meetings, school visits where indicated, the drawing up of an agreed schedule for management of problems, counselling and advice for those involved (including the young person, according to age). Consultation may also be requested by schools for large group behavioural strategies, policies and school development initiatives. Please note that this service does not replace medical or specialist health advice but may be advised as supplementary provision for certain children with defined medical conditions such as epilepsy, autism, speech and language difficulties or cerebral palsy.
